Microsoft Ignite Sizzle Video
The pace of work keeps accelerating, and the tools your teams use need to keep up. This video showcases new Copilot capabilities on Windows 11 devices, showing how AI brings greater speed and efficiency to everyday tasks. Watch the video to see how Windows 11 and Copilot can move your business forward.
What is Microsoft Copilot in the context of this example?
In this context, Microsoft Copilot is an AI assistant that helps you quickly find and work with information across your Microsoft tools. When someone says, “Hey, Copilot, find the sales stats my manager sent last week,” they’re using natural, everyday language to ask Copilot to:
- Search across their work content (such as emails, chats, or shared files)
- Identify the specific sales statistics their manager shared
- Surface that information without the user needing to remember the exact file name, email subject, or location
Instead of manually digging through inboxes and folders, Copilot helps you rethink how you search and retrieve information by understanding what you mean, not just what you type as keywords.
How does Copilot change the way I search for work information?
The example “find the sales stats my manager sent last week” shows that Copilot lets you search the way you naturally think and talk, instead of forcing you to remember technical details. With Copilot, you can:
- Use plain language (who sent it, what it was about, roughly when it was sent)
- Skip manual filtering by date ranges, senders, and folders
- Quickly get to the specific content you need, like sales numbers or a particular attachment
This helps you reimagine everyday tasks like finding reports, presentations, or emails. Over time, it can reduce the time you spend searching and let you focus more on analyzing the information instead of hunting for it.
What kind of work scenarios does this Copilot example apply to?
The sales stats example is just one scenario. The same style of request can apply to many day-to-day tasks, such as:
- Locating project updates a colleague shared recently
- Finding a presentation you used in last month’s client meeting
- Pulling up a document your team lead commented on earlier in the week
- Surfacing email threads related to a specific customer or deal
In each case, you can describe what you remember—who sent it, what it was about, and roughly when—and Copilot helps you reshape how you navigate your work content by doing the searching for you.
